Privacy policy

Plain-English privacy.

Last updated: June 7, 2026.

What we collect

  • Account info: name, email, password hash. From Google sign-in we also receive your Google profile picture.
  • What you save: the practitioners you bookmark and conditions you follow.
  • What you tell us: any text you type into the search or concierge boxes, contact forms, podcast pitches, or directory applications.
  • Usage: basic, anonymized analytics (pages viewed, referrers). No third-party ad trackers. No Facebook pixel.

What we don't collect

  • No medical records, no PHI. We're a publisher, not a healthcare provider.
  • No location tracking beyond what you type in.
  • No selling your data. Ever. Editorial independence is the whole product.

Who sees what

  • Contact forms you submit to a practitioner go to that practitioner directly. BTFOH editors can see the message metadata for moderation.
  • Saved practitioners and followed conditions are private to your account.
  • Our backend runs on Supabase (database + auth). Email sends go through a transactional provider with the message body.

Your rights

You can export, edit, or delete your account data anytime. Email hello@buildingthefutureofhealth.com and we'll respond within 7 days. We honor GDPR and CCPA requests regardless of where you live.

Cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie for sign-in. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking.

Changes

If we materially change this policy we'll email registered users and post a dated update at the top of this page.
