Editorial verification, not clinical screening

BTFOH does not screen practitioners for clinical competence. We do not audit charts, observe patient encounters, evaluate outcomes, or independently confirm credentials or licensure. We screen for editorial fit: independent practice, transparency about what they do, willingness to be met in person.

Our "verified" badge means our editor met that practitioner in person, at a published event. That is its entire meaning. Verified does not mean credentialed by BTFOH, recommended by BTFOH, endorsed by BTFOH, or known to be safe. It means we shook their hand.

No endorsement of protocols, products, or services

Mentions of treatments, modalities, supplements, devices, diets, brands, or services anywhere on the site (in listings, articles, podcast episodes, or transcripts) are descriptive, not prescriptive. They are not endorsements. Outcomes vary. What works for one person may not work for another. What is appropriate for one condition may be harmful for another.

Forward-looking statements and opinion

Articles, podcast conversations, and commentary often contain the personal opinions and forward-looking statements of the authors, hosts, and guests. They reflect the views of the speakers at the time of recording or publication. Listed practitioners are independent professionals. BTFOH does not employ them, does not supervise their care, does not handle their billing, and does not warrant their services. Researching their credentials, asking the questions that matter to you, and deciding whether they are the right fit is your responsibility.
