Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to read this.

Building the Future of Health is designed and maintained with accessibility as a first-class requirement. Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the public site.

Last updated: June 19, 2026

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML structure: one H1 per page, heading hierarchy preserved, descriptive landmarks.
  • Sufficient color contrast against our paper background and ink type.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, with visible focus rings on interactive elements.
  • Alt text on meaningful images. Decorative images marked as such.
  • Form fields with associated labels, error messages, and input modes that help users type the right thing.
  • Responsive layout that works on small screens, including the conference-critical mobile flows.
  • No autoplaying audio or video.
  • Skip-to-content patterns where pages have long navigation.

Where we are still working

Some embedded third-party players (podcast and video) inherit the accessibility of their host platforms. Some legacy article images and PDFs may not have full alt text yet. We backfill as we audit.

Report a barrier

If you encounter a part of the site that does not work for you, please tell us. Email hello@buildingthefutureofhealth.com with:

  • The page URL.
  • A short description of the barrier and what you were trying to do.
  • The assistive technology you were using, if any (screen reader, voice control, switch device, magnifier).

We aim to respond within five business days and to remediate confirmed barriers as a priority.

Alternate formats

If you need a podcast transcript, a long-form article in a different format, or any other content in an accessible alternative, email us and we will provide it.
