EMF at Better Way 2026: Two Conversations
Two of the most credible people we met at Better Way are working opposite ends of the same problem. One rewires the room. The other shields the bed.

EMF is the topic that conventional medicine still rolls its eyes at and that wellness families bring up unprompted. At Better Way Conference 2026 in Warwick, Rhode Island, we kept ending up in the same conversation from two different angles.
The first angle was the room itself. We had already been talking with Shawn Palmer, a licensed master electrician out of Fairfield County, Connecticut, who runs EcoFlow Electric and is building his shop around healthy homes. We published a long profile of him last month, The Holistic Electrician. His angle on EMF is the wiring. Dirty electricity on the panel. Field load around the bed where a kid sleeps. Lighting that runs from breakfast to bedtime on the wrong color temperature. The conversation he can have, that a normal residential outfit will not even quote, is what an actually healthy electrical environment looks like.
The second angle showed up at the conference. Tammy Arthur, CNHP, founder of The Wellness Blanket, demoed the product on Bill. She talked through the years of clinical work that led her to make it. Same observation, over and over: clients who had done the protocols, eaten the food, and stalled out, often started moving again when their bedroom changed.
Different lane, same map
Shawn rewires the room. Tammy shields the bed. They have never met. They are working on the same problem from opposite ends, and that is the thing worth saying out loud, because the wellness family asking the question rarely gets one half of the answer, let alone both.
The honest version of the EMF conversation has at least two layers. One is the environment you are living in, which is mostly an electrical and architectural problem. The other is the personal exposure you cannot fully control, especially at night, which is where shielding gets practical. Neither one is the whole answer. Together they are closer.
Why we are covering this
EMF is one of the easiest topics to lose credibility on. The maximalist version gets covered by people who overclaim. The minimalist version gets dismissed by people who have never run a meter in a real bedroom. We are going to keep covering it the way we cover everything else on BTFOH: through the practitioners and builders we actually sit with.
The hub for everything we publish on this topic lives at EMF and environmental load. Both Shawn and Tammy are listed there. Both have agreed to come on the podcast, which means the next two beats on this story are already in motion.
